First Completed Quilt of 2009

I haven't posted anything in awhile, but that doesn't mean life has been slow!
We seem to keep ourselves pretty busy lately. Some of what has been going on this month is--Ballet, scouts & ACE club, birthday parties, Tony playing "Church Ball" and breaking his knuckles---again, all of us playing the new Wii, watching Taylor play basketball, playing full contact straws (very entertaining), serving in Young Women's, helping Mom who just had some surgery, hanging out with Family and Great Friends. And of course, I have been quilting--like crazy. So things are good around here.

Here is my first completed quilt for 2009!

This is a quilt I've been working on, commissioned by Ashley. Ashley is 11 years old, and has saved enough money to have a new quilt for her bed! How cool is that?

The pillow is an extra little surprise for her. I hope she loves it!

And here is a little peek at just some of the mess...errrr I mean projects, going on around my sewing table....errr I meant kitchen table.

Gracie's Sewing

Gracie got a sewing machine for Christmas. She had her first "sewing lesson" the other day, and did really well. She'll be making quilts in no time!

It is STILL Snowing

The pile of snow is taller than Gracie's head!
I hate to be cold. I hate snow.
But the kids are sure having fun playing in it.

Quilts from 2008 - End of a Year

So, today I was trying to count how many quilts I have made this year. I am really wishing I had taken a picture of every quilt as I finished them, or at least kept track of how many I had done. I'll have to try to do better in the future.

I got my Longarm quilting machine about 10 months ago. In that time I have pieced and finished at least 37 quilts. That doesn't count the table toppers, table runners or things I have longarm quilted for other people.

Here is a small sampling of my quilts from the last year.

Thanks for stopping by...
