Bloggers Quilt Festival 2009

Welcome to my entry of Bloggers Quilt Festival 2009.
Thanks to Park City Girl for getting us all organized again!

This quilt was a lot of firsts for me.

This definitely wasn't my first quilt, but it is from the beginning of my quilting obsession.
I actually followed a pattern! You just don't know how hard that is for me. I don't do it often.
This is one of the largest quilts I had ever done.
I had never used triangles like these before. I changed my mind on the fabric and layout sooo many times, it's ridiculous. But once it finally all came together, I think it turn
ed out great.

I made this quilt for Gracie for Christmas in 2007. That was right before I got my longarm quilting machine. I got this back from having it quilted on the 23rd of December. I was very worried I wouldn't have it in time for Christmas. I wasn't able to get binding on it until after Christmas. Gracie didn't seem to mind.
Thanks for stopping by!

Love your quilt, and I also liked listening to Pres. Uchtdorf's words about creativity! Heavenly Father must really love diversity, variety, and color, don't you think? :D

One of the best parts of the quilt show is being inspired by other quilter's work. I love your hexagon quilt and it looks like your daughter Grace does too. The colors in your quilt are a bit like neapolitan ice cream - brown for chocolate, vanilla - white and pink for strawberry ice cream. Its hard to pick which flavor is your favorite among the three but together they make something scrumptious - just like your beautiful quilt.
Thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Anna

Thanks for the comments on my circle Arcadia quilt. Yours is so neat with all the triangles. I have only done a few triangles in a pinwheel style, not sure if I could attempt something that difficult. But you did a great job, awesome quilt. I was looking at some of your posts and how awesome that you have a long-arm quilter. Like you have a big time one. I would love one, but for now I just sew with my small machine, best I can. That would also be why I have a queen sized quilt not quilted yet, because I can not attempt it. Ok, sorry for rambling but love your stuff in Etsy also, good luck with it.
