Sea Glass for my Gracie Girl.
This is my entry for the Bloggers Quilt Festival.
I made this quilt last month for Gracie, with out her knowing it was for her. I'm not so great at surprises. She was so excited to find out it was meant for her all along.
When we went to Cabo, Gracie and I loved walking the beach picking up sea glass. The name seemed perfect for the quilt and for Gracie.
You may remember this quilt. It was the "left overs" from cutting out Sea Glass, but I actually sewed it first. I love to play with scraps.
Half Square Triangle Tutorial here.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the quilt festival!

Hey Allie, Fabulous quilt! Well done! Have a great weekend!
Love the color combination you used in this quilt, and what a terrific name you chose for it.

Oh Allie - this is stunning - the name is so perfect!!!!!
Gorgeous quilt, I love the colours!
What a stunning quilt! The name is perfect! As a West Coaster, I've often collected sea glass and you've captured that theme perfectly!
Very striking. Beautiful.
I've seen this on flickr and it's a beautiful quilt. Lots of patience for all those half triangles!
That's a perfect name -- it really does remind me of sea glass. It's a beautiful quilt!

Great colors! BEAUTIFUL!
Wonderful memories! I love Half Square Triangles, I truly enjoy piecing them.
Lovely Quilt.
Beautiful quilt! I like the scraps against the dark solid - so dramatic!
Beautiful quilt, gorgeous name, wonderful memories. Fabulous Allie. I love playing with scraps and leftovers too, your Caribean quilt is gorgeous too xo
Oh those colours together are just beautiful and it really has the feel of the bits of flotsam and jetsom you find on the beach.
Your quilts are always gorgeous! I especially like the colors in this one! Thanks for sharing!
I love the color combination! The name is perfect for it, too, and I like how it is tied to a specific memory. Gorgeous quilt!
I love this quilt and the colors in it! They positively glow! Can you tell me the solid you used (I can't quite tell if it is a brown or an eggplant color). I also love what you did with the leftovers. I've done that, too -- make a quilt with the leftovers before the original quilt :)

Awesome! The colors are perfect!
I really love this quilt...I made one a while back that I named "Sea Glass" too...it's made out of Amy Butler fabrics in blues and greens and grays. Your quilt is gorgeous!

I love it! Great fabrics & design.
This is a great color combo, and a great showcase for all those yummy blue and green prints!
I never would have thought of combining a solid (or at least solid looking) brown fabric with the sea coloured fabrics like you did. The result is simply stunning - you got me thinking ;-)) Thank you so much for sharing; be sure I'll come back!
The color combination is so soothing, yet bold at the same time! What a wonderful quilt!
A lovely quilt. I think the colours are fantastic.
Beautiful work! I think I will be following you! And thanks for your comments on my entry :-) It is funny how our blogs both have the "ocd" name!
What a beautiful job!
What a lovely quilt-looks like blueberry chocolate to me. Thanks for sharing and hello to a fellow Utah quilter.

Love this quilt Allie! It's simply awesome! The colors are fantastic.
I really like this, like the name and all it symbolizes...you can see my entry for the festival Here.
This is so gorgeous! What a fitting name for it. I have a real thing for quilts made only with half-square triangles... I have less of a thing for piecing them!
this is absolutely beautiful! I LOOOOOVE it! You really did a fantastic job!
This is such a beautiful quilt!
Beautiful selections--lovely memories! I need to make one now. . .
