Last Friday the kids didn't have school, so we got to spend the day hangin' out and playing at home. The kids played a bunch of games and we made a cake for Grandma Marilyn's birthday. Gracie did end up deciding to sew with me.
Gracie got some great fabric for Christmas and is working on a quilt top.
Kyle wasn't sure what to do with himself, so I put him to work on the quilt top I am making for him.
My Mom turned 73 today. (We decided 73 candle might be a fire hazard.)
We gave her a pick axe for her birthday. Seems like a strange gift for a 73 year old woman, but that is what she asked for! (Kyle and M&D have been working on taking out some rotted poplar stumps.)
My Grandpa Earl always told my Mom that when she was born she brought spring with her. I'd say he was right.
Later that night Me, Tony & the kids went to play with J&J and M&M. We ended the night with an exciting game of spoons. Bloody Spoons. Too much fun. Check out a little of that story here.
Happy Spring!

Holy cow! I am so relieved the learn that we are not the only SPOON freaks. Our games have, more than once, gotten violent. Such a simple game....with potential for such fun!
