A couple of Christmas Gifts

I couldn't really post pictures as I finished these--

This is a quilt I made for Stan & Shauna. I love how it turned out. And it has the softest Minkee on the back!

This past summer my niece Megan spent a few days with me and I helped her make this quilt top. She did a great job. Her Mom had me quilt and finish it for her for Christmas. I think it was a fun surprise for her.

Christmas

We had a fabulous Christmas this year!

Kyle & Gracie really make things so much fun.

We got to see lots of family, we had a ton of fun, and we all got spoiled rotten!

One of my favorite things, was Tony & I both unwrapping a gift at the same time.

Tony's was filled with old golf balls, and mine was full of rocks--

there was also a gift card in the bottom of each--what a fun surprise!

I love this time of year. I love the music, the lights, and the spirit of giving and service. We have been truly blessed this past year. I am especially thankful for my wonderful family.

I hope you all had a great Christmas!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, Grandma & Grandpa Anderson came over and the kids got to put together gingerbread houses.

They had a great time, and did a great job. They both were very creative.
We read Christmas stories together. And of course, we also had to mix in a game or two of 5oo.
It was a very fun night!

Ballet

Gracie's ballet class had a family day yesterday. We were able to go see what they do in class, and watch a dance they are working on.

To call roll, when your name is called you do the splits and stay there until the roll is finished. Being the first on the list, is really improving Gracie's flexibility.

It was so much fun to watch. Gracie is becoming quite the ballerina!

Lundquist Christmas Party

We had our Lundquist family Christmas Party last Saturday. My brother Jared arranged for us to use this beautiful cabin up at Sundance.

This is my Mom & Dad:

Luckily we went up early and beat the snow. Most of my family spent 3 hours on the side of the road waiting for the snow plows to come through. Eventually most of the family made it, and we had a great time.

We had some interesting musical performances. (If you know my family, you know anything us kids attempt do musically, is going to be interesting!)

Jared and Chris did a little "I'm to Sexy" rendition.

Chris was then talked into channeling a little Neil Diamond.

Christina led us in a Thriller routine.

It was a very entertaining afternoon! Lots of laughter.
The kids all had a blast running all over the cabin, and playing together.

This is Martin, Richard, Jenna, Jared, Me, Chris, Mom & Dad.

Later Jared & Jen and family, Martin & Mary Nell and family, and Tony & I and our kids, and a few of my other nieces and nephews stayed the night. Some friends-Marte & Marcie and their family came up.

We played games, ate, and did lots of laughing. It was a ton of fun.

Gracie & Kyle

Candy Making

Last Thursday Stan & Shauna came over and we made peanut butter cups, 17 dozen of them!

It was a good time, and yummy too!

Christmas Twirl Skirt

Yep--Gracie has another twirl skirt. I just can't get enough of these, and how fun for Christmas!

And just how cute is the matchy button hair clip? I know, I know, you're pretty impressed, right?

Christmas Decorating

This is such a great time of year, especially after all the decorating is done!

Gracie was pretty excited to decorate the tree--

I must admit, I don't love the actual decorating, I just love it when it is finished! Kyle has always been my little buddy. He just isn't so little anymore.

These are a couple of pictures I painted about 12 years ago.

I love Christmas--I love the lights, decorations, smells and especially the music.

As soon as we decided to start decorating, Kyle put the Harry Connick, Jr. CD in, to help set the mood.

This is a picture a painted back in 1992, when I was 15. I just finally got it framed last year.

This quilt I made last year, hangs at the bottom of my Mom's stairs. I love it. It is just so sweet.

And this blurry picture is looking down my hall--this quilt I made earlier this year. My kids love it. I make a lot of things to sell, and Kyle was sure to let me know this one needed to stay ours.

I am so grateful to have such a great and supportive husband and kids.

I am truly blessed.

Kawasaki Green

This is a quilt I just finished for my nephew who loves Kawasaki Green. As I was making it, my family kept reminding me that I am vertically challenged, and my nephew is not! I had to keep adding to it so it would be nice and long. It was a fun project to work on. The back is, of course, the super soft minkie--I just love that stuff--and my nephew too! And it should match his motorcycle nicely.
I couldn't even got a picture of the whole thing--It's too tall for me!

Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch
Just in time for the fall season. This quilt is made with raw edge applique, it gives the quilt such a soft look, with lots of beautiful fall colors. I also made a table runner to match. This is a pattern I made up, so it's definitely a one of a kind!
